මේ ලෝකේ හැම කෙනෙක්ම ආදරය කරනවා/ වෛර කරනවා කියලා කරන්නේ තමන්ගේ සිතුවිලි එක්කම ඇලෙන එක සහ ගැටෙන එකම නේ. මිනිස්සු සජීවී හෝ අජීවී වස්තූන් වලට ආදරය කරනවා කියන එක බොරුවක්. ඇත්තටම ආදරය කරන්නේ / ඇලෙන්නේ ඒ වස්තුව නිසා හිතේ හටගන්නා ආශ්වාදයට විතරයි. අපි අපේ වටිනා Mobile Phone එකකට ආදරය කරනවා කිව්වට කවුරුත් එකේ Battery එකටවත්, Circuit එකටවත්, processor එකටවත්, display එකටවත්, camera එකටවත්, speaker එකටවත්, ආදරය කරන්නේ නෑ නේ. ඒ කියන්නේ අපි ආදරය කරලා තියෙන්නේ ඒ phone එකෙන් ලැබෙන ආශ්වාදයට විතරයි. අපි Dream car කියල හීන මවාගෙන ගන්න වාහනයට අපි ඇත්තටම ආදරය කරනවද? ඇත්තටම අපි ආදරය කරන්නේ ඒ වාහනයේ ගමනක් යද්දී, ඒ වාහනයෙන් ගිහිල්ලා බහිද්දී, ගෙදර ඉස්සරහ නවත්තලා තියෙද්දී අපිට දැනෙන ආශ්වාදයට විතරයි. වාහනයට ඇත්තටම ආදරේ නම් අපි ආදරය කරන්න ඕනේ වාහනේ Engine එකට, Battery එකට. Alternator එකට Windshield එකට.... එත් එහෙම නෑනේ. බැරි වෙලා හරි ඒ වාහනෙන් හරි Phone එකෙන් හරි අපිට ඕන ආශ්වාදය නැති වුනාම අපිට එක එපා වෙනවා. මිනිස්සුන්ටත් ඔය Theory එකම තමයි. අපි මනුස්සයෙක් මරුණාම අඩන්නේ ඒ මනුස්සයා ගැන ආදරෙන් නෙමෙයි. ඒ මනුස්සයා නිසා අපිට මෙතෙක් කල් ලැබුණු ආශ්වාදය තවදුරටත් නොලැබෙන හින්දා. මේ ලෝකේ ආදරයක් කියල දෙයක් නෑ. තියෙන්නේ ආශ්වාදයක් විතරයි. එහෙම කොන්දේසි විරහිත ආශ්වාදයක් නොමැති ආදරයක් තියනවා නම් ඒකට ගැහැණු - පිරිමි, ලස්සන -කැත, බාල - මහලු, හොද -නරක කිසිම බේදයක් නැහැ. හැබැයි එකට කියන්නේ ආදරය කියලා නෙමෙයි මෛත්‍රිය කියල.
